The twitter data is hosted locally in a Postgres-database, dealing with the
about 14 million tweets which equal about 7 Gigabytes of Data.
For the storage & (visual) interpretation various software products were used:
- Postgres - Database Software (with spatial PostGIS - Extension)
- Tableau Software (for statistical analysis and first visual impression)
- ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10.0
- Quantum GIS
- Microsoft Excel & Word
- Windows Movie Maker (for creating animations)
